Approximately a 1/4 of an inch thick the closed cell foam has an unusually soft, gel-like feel, covered in a lycra fabric. The adhesive backing provides firm adhesion but may be easily removed when replacements are needed. Replacement palm pads for the Advantage and Advantage2 keyboards.

It comes with a 10 foot cable and works with all models (past and present) of the Kinesis Advantage and Advantage2 keyboards. Default actions are “Tab”, “Keypad Shift”, and “Enter”. The “Keypad Shift” action turns on the embedded keypad layer as long as the pedal is held down. If the Keypad Toggle function key is tapped first, then the “Keypad Shift” pedal will turn OFF the embedded keypad layer while the pedal is held down.
With a programmable Contoured keyboard, the foot pedal may be configured to perform any user-defined keystroke or macro!
Contoured™ keyboard users often find a foot pedal boosts productivity by enabling instant access to shortcuts (macros) or remapped keys in the “embedded” (keypad) layer.
Modifiers are often useful foot switch actions, to reduce the awkward reaches often required to produce key combinations.

With the Advantage2 Signature Series, you have the opportunity to design an Advantage2 keyboard to your exact specifications, for one flat price, and we’ll hand-build it for you here at Kinesis headquarters in Bothell, Washington. For the first time ever you can mix and match top cases, key switches, and keycaps in one fully-assembled keyboard. Creating a Signature Series is as easy as 1-2-3.
1) Top Case – Choose from any of our top cases, including premium options like Silver, Clear, and the Limited Graphite. We even have special one-off top cases available from time-to-time, just ask a sales representative for the current options.
2) Mechanical Switches – Choose from our standard MX Brown switches (low-force, tactile feedback) or the MX Red switches (low-force, linear feel) found in the popular Advantage2 LF model.
3) Keycaps – Choose any of our keycaps sets- QWERTY, QWERTY-Dvorak and the new Dvorak only. Our international customers can choose from UK, DE, and SE keycap sets. If you’re really brave, upgrade to the blank keycaps and we’ll install them for you. QWERTY sets can be upgraded with a variety of home row colors as well.Once you’ve decided on your configuration click on the “Email DSI Sales” button with your request. We will get back to you shortly answering any questions you may have along with a detailed build list for your approval.
Note: Signature Series keyboards are built-to-order, carry a 3 year limited-warranty, and are not-returnable. We recommend new Advantage2 customers start with one of our base models before considering a Signature Series.
